1st Media Pool
Combo box: List for the selection of a media pool to which the data is to be saved.
All defined media pools are listed for selection.
Alias
Combo box: Select a network interface through which the system can be accessed.
If the system features several network interfaces, select the path through which the system is to be accessed. The node manager assigns alias name to each network interface. This name is then shown in the Alias combo box.
Overwrite
This option is only available, if the media pool is a single tape drive.
Selected: Tape is overwritten.
Deselected: The backup is added at the end of the existing tape recording.
Multiplexing
This option is only available, if a multiplexer is installed for the media pool.
A multiplexer enables you to write multiple jobs to the tape drive at the same time.
Don't use Network
This option is only available, if the system that you wish to back up is identical with that of the backup server on which a local backup is to be saved. In other words, no data is transferred through the network.
2nd Media Pool
Combo box: List for the selection of an alternative media pool to which the data is to be saved.
If the backup job to the 1st media pool fails, for example because the memory medium cannot be accessed, the program automatically performs a backup to the alternative 2nd media pool specified here.
